Basic information
Brno University of Technology offers a wide range of study programmes in English across all levels of study - Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral. The length of study is usually 6 semesters for Bachelor's degree, 4 semesters for Master's degree and 8 semesters for Doctoral degree. Study in English degree programmes at the BUT is open to applicants from all countries. However, applicants from non-EU countries will need to arrange a long-term visa in order to be able to study in the Czech Republic.

THIRD STEP
Submit the electronic application
After choosing your programme and faculty, apply for studies at BUT using the electronic application.
Please make sure you know what the entrance exam consists of, what documents do you have to provide and what the tuition fees are.

Pass the entrance exam
The admission conditions are published on the Faculties websites. If you have any questions, please contact directly the Study Department of your future faculty.
FIFTH STEP
Apply for your residence permit or visa
Since you’re coming from abroad to live in the Czech Republic, you will need documents that permit you to stay for a longer period of time. Here you can find all needed information regarding visa and residence permit.
SIXTH STEP
Validate your previous education
Before enrolling, you have to provide a verified secondary school diploma (for Bachelor level of studies) or a verified diploma from previous university studies (for Master and Doctoral level of studies). See how to validate your previous education.
SEVENTH STEP
You’re a BUT student!
Once all documents are complete, you will receive an Letter of Acceptance together with basic information regarding your first tuition fee payment.
